We are currently recruiting for a?SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST.
This?is a?FIXED-TERM, PART-TIME, **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS PER
WEEK?contract. The role can be based nationally with the requirement
to travel to our residential services nationally.
Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based residential
rehabilitation services for people living with a brain injury in
Ireland. Our mission is?to serve, advocate, empower and support
people impacted by brain injury to rebuild their lives!
Our?SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS?carry the responsibility for the
delivery of specialist assessment and therapeutic interventions to
service users in accordance with their agreed rehabilitation
programmes and to work as part of the inter-disciplinary team in the
development and delivery of ABI services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Be a CORU registered Occupational Therapist
* At least 4 years post qualification experience
ESSENTIAL:
* A confident selft-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic
environment
* Demonstrated understanding and experience in community
rehabilitation
* Knowledge and awareness of assistive technologies
* A strong focus on maximising independence and setting achievable
goals for clients
* Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, report writing
and presentation
* Able to demonstrate good attention to details, good judgement
showing logical decision making and a hands-on approach
* Excellent time management skills
* Excellent MS Office skills with advanced spreadsheet skills
DESIRABLE:
* Experience of project management, planning, budgeting, and
forecasting
* Previous experience of working in an area of disability/illness
would be an advantage
* Previous residential/community service experience
